Who gets the pictures of my dog when I die? Will my mom be able to see my direct messages on Tinder? What happens to my Instagram profile?
Wisconsin has default rules regarding how to dispose of some of your most personal assets – your digital property – when you die. Your digital pictures, social media accounts, dating apps, smart phones, laptops, and tablets (just to name a few) reveal some of the most personal information about your life. This webinar will provide you with an introduction to the Wisconsin Digital Property Act, the digital accounts and devices that it controls, and your power to modify the default rules regarding what happens to these assets when you die.
